Following the enormous success of the first-ever disaster hackathon in Bangladesh, FOREWARN Bangladesh and Open Mapping Hub - Asia Pacific are ready for FOREWARN Disaster Hackathon 2.0 in order to expand its knowledge base and provide more cutting-edge technological and creative solutions to humanitarian sectors.
Eligibility for Participation: We are reaching out to everyone who finds inspiration in humanitarian causes and technological advancement. Students, graduates, researchers, developers, engineers - all are eligible to apply. Create a team of 2 to 7 like-minded individuals, from any department or area of expertise, and participate in the hackathon to embark on A New Era of Humanitarian Action!
3 Stages of the Hackathon:
CREATE
Build the conceptual framework and present your idea of solution to your chosen challenge in a 2-minute video. You will have separate 30 seconds for your Team Introduction.
CHECK
Check the feasibility and methodology of your idea with relevant stakeholders on whether the proposed solution is realistic, interesting, and efficient. You can seek guidance from our mentors through weekly virtual sessions.
CULTIVATE
The best teams will attend a 3-day residential workshop where they will get the chance to be mentored in person and cultivate the prototype at an advanced level.
